The Brief
AOSOM wanted to create a TV advert that would increase brand awareness, drive website traffic and position the brand as a go-to online destination for home and garden products. With a seasonal focus on the garden range, the campaign was designed to appeal to mainstream 25–55 shoppers and establish a clear, recognisable brand style for future advertising.
Challenges
One of the main creative challenges was developing a bespoke jingle for the advert that captured the same playful, instantly recognisable spirit as the Only Fools and Horses theme, while still feeling original and distinctive to AOSOM. The music needed to strike a careful balance between familiarity, warmth and humour, while giving the brand its own memorable sonic identity.
The Result
The campaign delivered a strong uplift during the campaign period versus the preceding period, helping to grow both reach and commercial performance. Overall site traffic increased, with total users up 15.1%, new users up 12.9% and returning users up 25.4%, while key onsite actions also rose significantly, indicating stronger user intent. Ecommerce performance improved across the funnel too, with increases in product views, add-to-cart activity, purchases and online revenue, showing that the campaign supported both brand visibility and sales momentum.
