Lyons Holiday Parks provides family-friendly UK holidays with a range of accommodation options led by caravans and lodges, alongside a variety of holiday “packs” designed to suit different types of breaks—from coastal escapes to action-packed family stays. A key part of the Lyons proposition is choice and flexibility: guests can enjoy one park, but also have easy access to multiple nearby parks, giving families and larger groups the freedom to create a holiday that works for everyone. Lyons also supports affordability and repeat custom with accessible deposits and incentives for returning guests.
The Brief
Lyons wanted a TV commercial that would build brand awareness, increase awareness of their parks, and introduce the idea of “endless holidays” through their holiday home ownership options (as a secondary message). The creative needed to speak to a broad family audience—particularly young families—while still appealing to pre-family and empty-nester segments who holiday as part of wider family groups. The brief also called for filming at one of their coastal resorts and showcasing the child-friendly activities that make a Lyons holiday feel packed with value and experiences.
Challenges
The challenge was to communicate the breadth of Lyons’ offering in a short format without making the advert feel crowded—balancing accommodation, parks, activities, and brand messaging in a way that remained clear and inviting. With multiple holiday styles and park experiences to represent, the creative needed to feel energetic and family-focused, while still landing the key differentiators: variety, accessibility, and the unique benefit of having multiple parks close together.
The Result
The final production delivered a warm, family-led TV commercial that showcased Lyons as a flexible and experience-rich UK holiday option—highlighting the coastal setting, on-park activities, and the variety available across their nearby locations. Universal Television & Media produced the advert and launched an initial targeted TV campaign to test and prove performance, supported by measurable delivery and strong audience reach.
Following the success of the initial activity, Lyons Holiday Parks have since scaled their TV investment, expanding into a regional ITV campaign and returning with a repeat campaign on ITVX—building sustained momentum and reinforcing the brand across both broadcast and streaming environments.
The initial Sky AdSmart activity performed exceptionally strongly, with the Sky VOD element delivering a 6.2% click-through rate to the Lyons Holiday Parks website — a phenomenal result for TV.
