About Sophie Says
Sophie Says is an empowering, bestselling children’s book and mental health brand created by author Esther Marshall. The series is intentionally designed to help parents and teachers navigate difficult conversations while instilling confidence, resilience, and emotional awareness in young children.
The Brief
The brief was to create a colourful and emotionally engaging TV advert for Sophie Says, a children’s brand focused on making important life lessons feel fun, inclusive and accessible. The campaign needed to build awareness and support sales across the wider product range, while communicating the brand’s mission to help parents and children explore meaningful topics such as feelings, inclusion and self-confidence. With a parent-led audience and children aged 3–8 in mind, the advert was designed to feel bright, positive and child-friendly, using bold colours, character-led visuals and a warm tone that could appeal to busy parents while still capturing children’s attention.
The Result
The campaign delivered a strong uplift in visibility, engagement and online customer action for Sophie Says. During the campaign period, the brand saw clear growth in active users, new visitors and returning users, alongside a significant increase in meaningful on-site actions. Direct and paid traffic both rose strongly, suggesting the advert helped support brand recall and prompted search behaviour, while ecommerce performance also strengthened across the shopping journey. Product views increased, add-to-cart activity more than doubled, and completed purchases rose significantly, showing that the campaign helped drive both awareness and measurable customer intent.
