About The Ridge
Tracing the lineage of The Ridge takes us back to a humble beginning: a rubber band. The soon-to-be Ridge CEO and wallet enthusiast, Daniel Kane, returned home from college one summer having ditched his wallet, opting instead for a piece of elastic bound around a few debit cards and and a license.
That rubber band replacement was, in many ways, how The Ridge was born. Daniel teamed up with his dad, Paul Kane, to launch The Ridge on Kickstarter, raising over 300k in the crowdfunding campaign. Now fast-forward the recruitment of a couple best friends, a dozen wallet iterations, and 4 years of figuring out how to sell things online, and you’ll find The Ridge in the pockets of two-hundred thousand men and women all over the world.

We believe people carry too much every day. We saw the bulky wallets shoved into back pockets, crammed with receipts and gift cards, and thought “enough is enough”. When designing The Ridge, we focused on design and functionality—a wallet that’s minimalist without being limiting—so that you can carry less and always have what you need.
